How to create a myTOMRA App Profile

Receive your recycling refunds digitally with the free myTOMRA app – the fast, secure, and convenient payout of your container deposit refund.

  1. Download the myTOMRA app via iTunes or Google Play (or visit app.mytomra.com.au).
  2. Select “Login” and choose to register to create a myTOMRA profile using your email address. Alternatively, you can log in using your existing PayPal account.
  3. Select your Payout method in the menu – if you choose PayPal, you will need to link your PayPal account. If you choose Bank Transfer, you will need to link your bank account.

How to use the myTOMRA App at an RVM

You can use the myTOMRA app at our TOMRA Recycling Centre in Coconut Grove, NT.

  1. Scan your personal myTOMRA app barcode at the reverse vending machine. You will see your name on the machine screen.
  2. Return your empty containers for recycling.
  3. Transfer – when you are finished, tap the ‘Transfer’ button on the reverse vending machine screen. Your recycling refunds will be paid into your preferred payout method.

Your Refund – Your Way

Bank Transfer

  1. Download the myTOMRA App, select Bank Transfer as your payout method and link to your bank account.
  2. Scan your myTOMRA App barcode at the machine before you start your session.
  3. Insert your containers and select Payout when you’re done. You should receive your refund within 1 business day

PayPal

  1. Download the myTOMRA App, select Paypal as your payout method and link to your Paypal account.
  2. Scan your myTOMRA App barcode at the machine before you start your session.
  3. Insert your containers and select Payout when you’re done. ​You should receive your refund within 1 business day.

Charity Donation

  1. You can donate via the myTOMRA app. Just download the ​app, select Charity Donation as your payout method, and choose​ your preferred charity.
  2. Scan the barcode of your chosen charity at the Return ​and Earn machine before you start your session.
  3. Insert your containers and select “Payout” on the screen ​when you’re done. The charity will receive 100% of your ​donated refund within 1 week.
