Our 5 state-of-the-art modern Recycling Centres are designed to handle returns of all sizes, from small-scale returns to large bulk deposits.

Reverse Vending Centre
Our indoor Reverse Vending Centres feature 6 of the very latest high-tech TOMRA reverse vending machines and will allow recyclers to return up to 100 containers a minute for a 10c refund in air-conditioned comfort whatever the weather. We have Reverse Vending Centres in:
Our RVCs are unmanned and self-serve and open 363 days a year for your convenience at these times:
- 7am-7pm Mon-Sat
- 9am-6pm Sundays and public holidays
Easy to use, Recyclers simply insert their empty eligible drink containers into the machine which automatically recognises and counts your eligible glass, plastic, cans, and cartons for recycling. Recyclers have a choice of a retail cash refund, donating to a cause or a direct digital transfer to PayPal or their bank account via their Containers for Change member number.
How to get your Containers for Change refund
Cash Voucher
- Cash vouchers are available from all TOMRA Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) and are redeemable for instant cash at your local retail redemption partner (listed on the top of the voucher).
- Simply return your containers through the RVM and press “Voucher” on the screen. No sign-up necessary.
- Hand your voucher in to the service counter at your local retail redemption partner (Woolworths / Coles) to receive instant cash.
Shopping Discount
- Retail cash vouchers are available from all TOMRA Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) and are redeemable for instant cash at your local retail redemption partner (listedon the top of the voucher).
- Simply return your containers through the RVM and press “Voucher” on the screen. No sign-up necessary.
- Scan your voucher at your local retail redemption partner (listedon the voucher) when paying for your groceries to get your shopping discount.
Bank Transfer
- Sign up for a scheme ID from the Containers for Change website. Once you have signed up, you will receive a Scheme ID Barcode.
- Scan your scheme ID barcode at any TOMRA Reverse Vending Machine before you start your session.
- Insert containers and press “Payout” on the screen when you’re done – you will get your refund within 1 business day.
PayPal
- Sign up for a scheme ID from the Containers for Change website. Once you have signed up, you will receive a Scheme ID Barcode.
- Scan your scheme ID barcode at any TOMRA Reverse Vending Machine before you start your session.
- Insert containers and press “Payout” on the screen when you’re done – you will get your refund within 1 business day.
Charity Donation
- Visit the Containers for Change website to find the Containers for Change Scheme ID for the charity or community group you’re looking to donate to.
- Once you’re at the RVM, scan the Scheme ID barcode of the charity you’d like to donate to at the TOMRA Reverse Vending Machine before you start your session.
- Return your containers and press “Payout” on screen when you’re done – the charity will get 100% of your donated refund within 1 week.
What’s Eligible?
Most beverage containers (larger than 150ml and smaller than 3L) that are made from aluminium, glass, plastic, steel and liquid paperboard are eligible for a 10c refund when returned to a TOMRA Reverse Vending Machine.
Do not crush your containers or remove the labels as our scanners will need to identify the shape, label and barcode to register your refund.
